Community Based Support Services
Helping Individuals Have a Positive Experience Within the Community
In addition to our focus on Education, Income and Health United Way of McLean County is investing in Community Based Support Services. Working with our community, we will support individuals and families to create a positive community environment. We recognize that the outcomes for programs focused on community based support services must involve outreach to those in the community who would otherwise have difficulties integrating.
Outcome 2: Individuals are integrated into their community and remain as independent as possible.
Based on input from key stakeholders in our community, United Way has chosen to focus on these key outcomes as the best chance for helping individuals and families take ownership of the community. These outcomes and identified best practices are used to evaluate the effectiveness of direct service programs and community impact initiatives funded under the Community Based Support Services area.
