Teens United for McLean County and United Way of McLean County invite you to participate in the Born Learning Trail 5K run at White Oak Park in Bloomington, Illinois. Teens United for McLean County, a student volunteer program run by United Way, partnered with the City of Bloomington to install a Born Learning Trail at White Oak Park. The Trail is a paved path with nine learning activity signs that provide fun, easy activities for parents and children to enjoy together. The race is being held to promote the importance of early childhood education and introduce the Born Learning Trail to the community. A free family event launching the Trail will be held in the park from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
White Oak Park is located at 1514 Cottage Avenue in Bloomington, IL. Check-in and registration are in the White Oak Park pavilion, accessed from the northernmost enterance off of Cottage Avenue. Refreshments will be at the finish line. Race results will be posted on the Lake Run Club website (www.lakerunclub.org).
Race day sign up will be available between 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
Awards will be given to the overall fastest male and female finishers and the top male/female in the following age categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over. The awards ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. outside the White Oak Park pavilion.
